Invite ferns to a tea party. Wet tea leaves (or bags) worked into the soil around ferns, and even an occasional watering with the beverage (hold the milk and sugar!) provides the acid they love.
Help your pots retain water for the plants they hold by using tea bags toward the pot bottoms. They’ll capture some of the water and it will cause the bags to release nutrients into the soil, too.
Pour unused brewed tea onto your compost heap to speed decomposition.
