Do you ever forget the sunscreen when you go to an outdoor event like your child’s recreation activity, a backyard party, or just walking the dog? Even in the winter and on cloudy days unprotected skin can burn when outdoors. If your skin has turned pink try applying a few wet, cooled tea bags to the affected area for a few minutes to relieve the irritation.
Other minor burns, like those caused from a dull razor or touching a hot pot or dish, can be treated in the same way.
Poison ivy is another outdoor hazard that causes discomfort until its rash dries out. Applying tea bags to poison ivy rashes can hasten their demise. Just leave the bags on the rash long enough to dampen the skin. Then take them off and let the skin dry.
These easy, homemade remedies can help as much as over-the-counter products, and they save money and time, too.
