Make Own Wooden Cutting Board

Make Own Wooden Cutting Board

Repeat sanding process with 120-grit, then 220-grit sandpaper. Make sure all dried glue is sanded off surface prior to finishing. Rub entire cutting board with several coats of a food-safe finish like mineral oil, walnut oil or beeswax, allowing oil to fully absorb into the wood.
Today, I'll show you how to build a simple designed cutting board that I hope will make you comfortable enough to try and make. Wood I used: Ambrosia Maple, Padauk, Dark Walnut. I hope you enjoyed it and go out and make your own.
For the one large cutting board it cost me about $15 for the wood. Since I made another, smaller, cutting board for this project, the wood cost $22 total for all.
